I ended up changing the actuator but I'm still not able to unlock the door from the remote or from the main switch. It doesn't bother me too much because my wife and my two little girls are always using the back seat. The other thing that doesn't work is the mirror. The window can be opened just from the passenger switch. Other than that the engine is running which is the most important thing so far.

problems with passenger door
Hi guys: writting from Bolivia, South America. I have the exact same problem. My technictian was able to unplug the electronic door system, so now I can open my door manually as well as to lock and unlock manually. Major problem is that window opens and closes sometimes. Itīs very annoing. Does anybody found the solution? probably is an electronic module failure under the glove box? appreciate your reply.

I did a lot of internet research. The problem is at the General Module 3.
Check by google and you will find the rigth solution by replacing the part of replacing the relays. Good luck! |

"the GM3 does not supply power to the front door lock motors or the front window motors" BMW General Module 3 (GM III) Door Lock and Window Problems I did more reading and seems that the general module is the culprit. I will have to remove the glove box to find the part number |
You guys are right. Thanks for catching this. Problem of front right window and front right door locking problems should be at the PM-FT/SB modules Please advise if you agree. Hopefully I can change the relays.

It's a module.
Repeat, It's a module. |
Yes, itīs one module at the front right door. The X5 has two PM modules in the front, one in each door. Please advise if Iīm correct.

If you look here http://www.bmwclub.lv/files/Tab_7_Ce...lectronics.pdf the PM-FT/SB seems to be part of the main switch (driver side). I remember that I changed both switches (driver and passenger) and still have the problem. |
