Hot or Not
I'm debating
Forget the Style 168 or 87 ............ I tend to like fatter spokes on wheels for the X5 Diamond Black Finish http://www.pingablesolutions.com/images/X5/bbs_redb.jpg http://www.pingablesolutions.com/images/X5/bbs_resl.jpg |
nice but not for a X5 IMO
|
Don't let me get some extra cash cause i would buy em in a hot minute but not with a Diamond Black Finish.
|
I hear ya Wagner. Thin Spokes ain't working for me on a X5......but I can't make up my mind....It's a like a chic in a shoe store. 10 million selections out there.
|
How 'bout 132s in either OEM 19s or after market 20s?
I agree w/Wag - nice wheels but not for an X... |
There's something about the 132's....
I'm not a huge fan of 5 spokes but it's just a personal subjective thing. Between the 132 and 87, both would be a 50/50 for me if I had to choose a 5 spoke. The 132 has a sharp line on the front of the spoke and the 87 has a slight slight ridge lip on the edges of the spoke....I'm just not a fan of 5 spokes. On *certain* applicatons, I LOVE the 5 spoke but the ones where it has a slight curve to each spoke....these look hot on a Escalade but eh...not for me on a X5 |

I still say those 168s look hot on a black X |

CW,
What I don't get is your comment, "I tend to like fatter spokes on wheels for the X5 ... " Neither of those wheel pics have what I would describe as "fatter spokes". Diff'n strokes, but neither of those pics is my pick for the E53. I like 132s/87s or 168s ... GL,mD |
MD. I'm a wheel madness streak right now.
Wheel MADNESS. The wheels posted are not fatter spokes but I need a fixing for some good 'old fashioned forged wheels. |
CW,
I hear you on the madness, lol! It can seep in for almost any decision one trys to make; humans offered "too many/more than a few choices" have a hard time overcoming inertia and making a fookin choice! Good Luck, mD |
IMO which doesn't count much, since I do not have an X5 (been looking, it's all L and M fault). The BBS wheels are not for an X5, but I found this tread which would give you an idea: http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=522982
Here is dvs ride - he is a member of this forum, if it was me these are the sets that I would put on my ride: http://aycu15.webshots.com/image/355...4590263_rs.jpg |

Aren't your HRE's somewhat similar to these BBS.
Check this thread for several options and my post # 11 with links to all wheel manufacturers. |
Spokes style and thickness is wider and different on the HRE's.
I went with rep 87 for the winter. Crazy heh....I had a brief moment of insanity and was looking at the BBS for winter setup |
Those BBS will not look good on X5.

You could go with these..........http://www.xoutpost.com/249768-post5.html But not in black......
|
What size are you looking to get the BBS wheels in?
|
Sizewise....it's whatever fit's the application.
But nothing in their lineup really works well on the X....... Spokes are just too thin and I had a brief period of wheel fanatic insanity when I posted this message. Now on a coupe, maybe a white 335i diesel if I see myself, then a set of RSGT is in order. |
Yeah, to pull the BBS wheels off, you'll need them in 22" and your X5 slammed.

Not hot.
