Xenon Facelift Help

I updated my 540 to halo lights and it work fine save one issue.

The first question is if you had xenon's before the face lift or if you were upgrading to xenons. If you had them before, all the plugs should work (don't forget the self-leveling plug).

You may have trouble gettng power to the halo's. My upgrade kit came with a pigtail connector for the halo's that didn't really work like I wanted, but to fix it would require that I hack some wires which I am reluctant to do.

I'm not sure what you can do with programming the light control module. Furthermore, I'm not sure replacing the wiring harness for the front lights will be compatible with your current light control module. Unfortunately, you won't know until you buy all the parts and spend a day working on it.

If you didn't have xenon's before the update, I can't help. It'll be a total hack, but it can be done. I just don't like going that far because the electronics in BMW's seem to be rather sensitive.

yes i had xenons before, and got the wire hardness for the new lights, and they do self level i see them move,
High beams = Working
angel lights = working
turn signals = working
Self-leveling = working
Low beams (xenon) = NOT working :tsk: :dunno:

the stealer will be taking a look at it today.

To day i took the X to the stealer to see if they can tell me why the low beams don`t come on, after a few minutes they told me that the light module is bad and they will put in new ones on monday that the module still cover under CPO W.

So hopefully on monday i can use my low beans for the firts time since las week :D

i`ll let you guys know what happens.
and tanks all for all the help..

Did he say the lighting control module was bad or just the xenon ballasts (the prominent aluminum cases with all the high voltage stickers near each light). If it's just the ballasts, you can order two new ones from Bekkers (http://www.bekkers.com) for $154 each. It will take minutes to install.

all that he said was that the light control module is bad, but the xenon ballasts are new we just put thos in about 2 weeks ago when the face lift was done. but waht ever module he was talking about still under warranty so they are going to remplace it for free

when they do change it i`ll see what module he was talking about.

Cool, nice diagram.

Yeah, I'm glad that LCM is under warranty. It would cost if it weren't. I'm actually surprised they gave you warranty service after the mod. Most vehicle manufacturers won't.

Anyway, hope that gets it fixed for you.
