iphone, Dice-SpekDock-Bluetooth question.
I'll be putting in the Spekdock with the Dice module the weekend:thumbup:
I know that when a call comes in the phone will ring through the speakers, and then you have to pick the phone up from the dock to answer it. I know its not compatible with the BMW Bluetooth (I don't have it anyways), but if you get bluetooth headphones would it work that way?, basically you would not need to lift the phone up from the cradle when a call comes in is what I'm trying to get to. If it does work that way which are the best BT headphones for the iphone? And I assume once you hang up, the music slowly fades in at the same point right? |
I cannot answer your question for sure, although I do believe you can answer the phone without undocking it if you have a bluetooth headset because I'm pretty sure you can answer a call and use the speakerphone when it's mounted in the DICE dock.
But, as for the best bluetooth headsets, I just picked up a JAWBONE after going through a Motorola and a Jabra. The Jawbone - http://www.amazon.com/Aliph-Jawbone-...8259581&sr=8-2- it's a bit pricey (about $90) but it provides the best sound quality for me, and the person on the other end can hear me much better than they could with my Jabra. I have heard of a new BT headset that was just released that is being sold with the new RAZR, it features Crystal Talk technology http://www.motorola.com/content.jsp?globalObjectId=8587 Hope this was helpful |

Now I just need to find a decent one that maybe holds a battery or comes with a charger which can be charged through the cigerrette lighter, cause it will always stay in the car, I'm not into walking around with this thing on my ear, and looking like I'm talking to myself..(I hear alot of people say those that are walking through malls and public doing this look like--lets just say not very smart) |
Plantronics makes some decent headsets and they also make a compact cigarette lighter charger.

almost all BT headsets you can get a car charger for it - i would say stick with something that has a USB connection because it's easy to find a car charger. I just bought the new motorola that has the mini usb, and i only charge it in the house. i have a blackberry curve with reg usb connector and the car charger i would need an adapter to charge the mini usb BT. I have the adapter, but i dont leave it in the car because i know i'd lose it. i've lost a few headsets already- so i do the same thing, i leave it in the car now. good luck - i love my speck dock.
i wonder if u can just let the audio come out of the speaker - and the mic stay on the phone - and u will basically have the phone feature somewhat integrated. u wouldn't get all the features like answering from steering wheel and dialing etc. but would be cool to just let audio come from ur speaker. |
