2004 X5 4.8is mods
7 Attachment(s)
Hi folks....after hanging around this site for the past few months and soaking in a lot of very useful knowledge, I've decided to post some pics of the mods of I have completed after purchasing a 2004 X5 4.8is - Imola red with black interior. Again, most of these mods were considered and completed after reading about them on the X5world forums or viewing pics others have posted. It took the fear out of attempting to do many of these myself.
So here are my mods in no particular order: 1. Front BMW 1/2 plate 2. Sunroof wind deflector 3. Hardwired Passport radar detector 4. Aluminum pedal set 5. "X5" Door Sills 6. "X5" Running Boards 7. "BMW X5" third brake light decal overlay 8. Hoen xenonmatch fog lights Near term fuure to-do's include adding a set of Yokohama ADVAN ST's and perhaps replacing the steering wheel (leather is a bit worn in areas and there are many scratches on the plastic insert). Thanks to everyone for sharing your information and providing feedback and opinions. You make this forums trully awesome. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! I like all you're mods alot. Now that you established the "BMW X5" theme, let's jump to some accentuating.
or maybe not....all on how you feel. Either way man, nice ride and great color. |
LOL - yeah, i was going to say the same thing, but i have the break light LOL and looking at getting the sills. hey are your sills from ebay? they dont look bad at all actually, i've been reluctant to buy.. Not sure how that would look on titanium silver though, I'd want it in black with silver "BMW X5"
are the running boards OEM? I dont recall seeing "X5" on the OE running boards - but I havent walked up to anyone's X with boards and inspected. soon to do a few of those MODS. nice work. Quote:

The running boards are from Ebay as well. I found them through some older X5world posts regarding running boards with an old link. I contacted the seller and although they were not being listed on ebay at the time, the seller did have them available. I've been quite happy with the running boards and you can't beat the price compared to the OEM's. I can't see paying the $ for the OEM's after seeing these installed. Thanks for the feedback. |
ok sounds good!! looks great. I've been looking for sills, i'll give it a try. wouldnt happen to have the ebay seller of the boards? I'll search the forum as well to see if i can find the old link.
