2004 4.8is Warranty
 

Hi everyone, I am looking at a 2004 4.8is with 40,000 miles and I am curious to know if it should have some factory warranty left on it? if so, can that be extended by the factory? if not, does anyone know of a good aftermarket warranty company? I had owned a 2001 X5 3.0 and I had my fair share of issues so I want to make sure that I have some protection. I made the mistake of trading into a Lexus GX (for reliability reasons) and I have found myself missing the X5 quite a bit!

Depends on in service date - OEM warranty is 4yrs/50K from in service date (an '04 could be in service from as early as late '03 in which case original warranty is expired)

If its a CPO you get an additional 2 yrs/50k with less coverage than original 4/50

Warranty Direct seems to get good reviews on here as a third party warranty provider
