Dead Battery and Trans Failsafe???
 

The X has sat since August. Battery Completely Dead. Recharged but would not start till CanadianX5 said to try the Valet key as the Transponder was not connecting. The Valet key got it started but all kinds of lights were on including Trans Failsafe. Shut down the X and restarted 20 mins later. Transfailsafe was gone and drove it around for about 5 miles and it ran great. Pulled back in the Driveway. As I stopped to put the X in Park, The Failsafe came on again. Could this be related to the dead battery?

we got the 'trans failsafe' when the alternator died. it never came back again after repairs.

same happened to me, got the trans fail safe - i had a drain as well - even after alternator died, but trans fail safe never came back.
