Rear wheels go in slighty.....

Hi All,Can someone tell me what causes the rear tires(20"toyos) to go in slighty on the top when riding on the road.

I believe they call it negative camber.

every x5 is set up like that. Better handling from the factory for you.

ahhh,improves grip when cornering....nice, thanks cmyx5go.

your 20" tires will wear. I reccomend you adjust your rear camber all the way positive. you wont feel the difference. Factory rear camber spec is around -1.5 degrees. thats a lot.

how much to do that?

mrkbbd 01-20-2008 07:13 PM

why not just rotate the tires on the rear rims?

Have a wheel alignment done, and ask them to adjust out as much negative camber as the concentric adjusters will allow. This will still leave you with some negative camber, but should stop the uneven wear on your back tyres. I did mine ages ago, and have noticed no adverse affects to the cornering/handling of the X'. Should only cost you the price of the wheel alignment.
Good Luck,
Colin.
