Will 275/45/20 fit?

I have 275/40/20 tire size right now on my 20 inch rims for my X. I was wondering if anyone knows if 275/45/20 will fit? Or is the 45 series tire too thick? Will they rub when i turn? I'm not sure, I don't experience any problems with that with the 40 series tires...My X is not lowered at all. I need new tires and I'm thinking about going up in size but I don't know if its going to rub or not when I turn if I go up to 45 series..

Let's do some math. Going from stock aspect ratio of 40 to 45 is not advisable. You are going with taller side wall and therefore the overall diameter of your new tire will considerably larger than the stock tire. A quick calculation reveals that you are going from 28.66" to 29.75, too large of a difference. Stick to 275/40 tires.

Agreed....I don't have stock rims, i have after market, so thats why I wasn't sure about going up in tire size. But I had a feeling 45 series was too big..

That size should not be a problem as far as fitment. Assuming, OE wheels, offset, etc. I doubt it would be a problem with aftermarket wheels if your offsets isn't too far off. Assuming, of course, you're going same size all around. I have 265/45-20 and 20mm offset and I don't have problems.

Speedometer may be off a litte but as far as FITMENT no problem that I can see.
