HI,

i am asking about Angel eyes !
what is the other one ?
but yours lock great ! i like them !
those are original ? right ?

Bimmer360 02-08-2008 01:47 AM

Those are chroniums, i believe. If you are asking if they are original like BMW OEM, no, AEs dont come with E53 2000-2003 X5s, you will have to buy it from a non-BMW vendors, which some are sponsors here. Mine is a full headlight replacement that comes with the halos.

zerochief 02-08-2008 01:48 AM

Mine are retrofitted AE's. If you have headlights mfr'd prior to 08/2002, you can open the light assembly and install AE's (I aslo removed the waffle lenses). Read the articles under "lights" on the main webpage here on x5world for more info. Yes Bimmer360 they are chromiums from Jlevi

Date code reading 08/2001:

OEM headlights with lenses removed, AE Chromiums and Invisibulbs installed:

HI,

yes i now that the E53 2000-2003/9 model come without AE's .
but i do not now if to buy a complete Halo Headlight kit in chrome finish or put inside just the AE's kit ?
please help me with that !

Bimmer360 02-08-2008 01:59 AM

u install the AEs inside, and you have to open the headlight covers. Bake it at a certain degrees for 15 mins or so. What year is yours? Like what zerochief says: " If you have headlights mfr'd prior to 08/2002, you can open the light assembly and install AE's." Otherwise, you will ruin your headlights.

which part are you talking about that is chrome?

Your car is an 03...You can't open your headlights up to install them. Now you're next best bet is Jlevi.com (projector53s) like Bimmer360 has. Or if you really want top notch. Customangeleyes.com. The ones from customangeleyes look exactly like zero's..

I think he is talking about the ones you see on eBay. I'm not a fan of those, they don't look like OE, Bimmer360's are great as a complete headlight solution. They actually have them on ebay now for $450 (xenons) which are cheaper than the Jlevi solution - if price is an issue. If you have Halogens, they have a halogen set for $309! I dont see them on ebay anymore actually - but I posted the link here about a week or so ago.. maybe you can contact the seller.

ZeroCheif- what are the demon eyes?

Bimmer360 02-08-2008 12:16 PM

you will have a hard time opening it i guess then. You might end up ruining the housing. It happened to me when i bought right side headlight from a 2003 X5 and baked it and the thing won't open. I forced it and now its all messed up. As far as painting the headlight inserts, yes, that's possible if you are able to open the headlights. I dont think its gonna be chrome but silver instead. Check rastafai's webpage and you will see how it looks.

Nick@Jlevi SW 02-08-2008 01:38 PM

As was said before, you cannot open your stock headlights. We offer a full replacement projector headlight solution, Projector53

These will replace your entire assembly with projector based xenons and built in/preinstalled predator series angel eyes. The difference between our kit and what you see on ebay is that our Predator angel eyes are 3x as bright as the halogen versions and we swap in higher quality HID components that are backed by a full lifetime warranty. We also include all wiring and necessary installation hardware to make it a truly complete kit right out of the box.
