I decided a DIY was worth a try. My wife's hair dryer and some "goo-gone" was all it took.

Good deal. Just make sure you thoroughly wash where ever the goo gone was right away, and then wax her up! Any shadow? If so, I'm sure someone with buffing machine skills can take care of it.
