Angel Eyes
:dunno: I have X5 02 and want the angel eyes really bad. Does anyone have any recomendations as to who to use and perhaps how much? Thanks

I bought E46 CCFL Angel Eyes (Ring is 13.2cm) on Ebay and made a custom install on my X5.

Joll,
You're the man I'm looking for! If I get a set of angel eyes from the 5 series or /04 X5, how do I go about wiring them in into a /02 headlight?? I emailed both customangel eyes and umnitza, but didn't get any response! Hope you can help. :) |
I wired them to my parking light and removed the bulb. You will not get "Check Parking Light" if you add Angel Eyes.
Try to get Angel Eyes with the plastic mounts it will be easier to install on high beam reflector. On low beam you have to cut away the mount on the rings and use Quick-Epoxy and mount the ring with 5 dots of wpoxy (will not be visible and you can remove the glue with a screwdriver if you want to remove you angel eyes). http://xoutpost.com/gallery/files/1/3/7/PICT0006.jpg |
Just wire them to the parking lights? So there is no ballast or resistor or anything?? Just two wires? :dunno: Are yours the OEM light rings or aftermarket?

Or look up Mobile Innovations at Lodi, NJ. Go to xoutpost.com go to Articles on Angel Eyes. http://www.xoutpost.com/articles.php?...ticle&artid=18 I have the Mobile Innovations modified Angel Eyes on my X5 (courtesy of ArtX5....err, ArtZ8) http://www.xoutpost.com/showpost.php?p=1522&postcount=60 Quote:

On the first picture in topic you can see a small black box that got 2 wires and should be attached to a 12v source I used the parking light.

Thank you Joll. The only thing however is that I want mine to look as good as yours do. It looks to me that you did more than just add the angel eyes. Your headlights look better, like you removed the plastic around the xenon bulb itself, no?

Ooopss, sorry, i just looked at your pics and they answered my question.
