Question on options X5 (+)

I wish to buy in America X5 of 2004-2005. I need presence of an option "the big panoramic hatch in a roof", but I do not know as it correctly refers to. I saw at sellers of the name: SunRoof, MoonRoof and Panoramic glass. Prompt please as usually at sellers the option "the big panoramic hatch in a roof" correctly refers to?

And whether it is possible to define what hatch in the car (standard or big) by date of release or these options were installed on a choice?

P.S. - I am sorry for possible mistakes.

As of 2004 the X5 could come with a "PANORAMIC" sunroof. It is made up of two panels that can tilt, or retract. Prior to that there was a normal sunroof option.

:iagree: But, I don't believe the early 04's had the "Panoramic" sunroof?

In the case of the X5, a standard moonroof is the same as a standard sunroof. It's a regular size sliding glass roof with a shade that covers the glass. The panoramic roof is roughly double, maybe a little more, the size of the standard moonroof and slides/tilts open as well, but it doesn't have a shade that permanantly blocks out all light (correct me if I'm wrong here guys!). The panoramic roof is a great option to have if you like the sunlight and openness it allows.

Your wrong :)

The pano roof has a complete shade, just like any other sunroof.

I had an April build 2004 that had the pano roof. Maybe 2004's built in late 2003 didn't have it :dunno:

My X5 3.0d is BUILT 02/2004 and has the STANDARD roof (no PANORAMIC) so I believe it changed in 03 or 04 / 2004 production...

The panoramic roof first became available with the April build of 2004 X5's, and Ryan is correct - it has a full shade that is also electrically operated.
