Updating to clear tail lights
 

My 3.0 X5 is 10/2000 and I want to install OEM clear tail lights from Ebay. Are they all interchangeble or I should look for only specific years, say pre-face lift of 2004?

it should fit right in, the only difference between prefacelift and facelift, pre facelift tails surface has dots, while the facelift has lines.

it'll depend which year the tail lights are from.

early X5s (2000-2001, and maybe 2002) do not have adaptive brake lights, and if i recall correctly, in 2003, the connecters are different, and you may need an adapter. but it is doable.
