Headlight Protection

Has anyone else installed these "Clear Protective Light Shields"? Made of 3M clear vinyl, by Xpel. Claim they will "withstand a barrage of 1" diameter stones (about 1oz.) at speeds up to 120 m.p.h. with no damage to the lens they protect."

I installed them on my X5 just now. Took maybe 10 minutes, and was very easy.

Seems like cheap insurance for $45.

I have them on my X5 and they are worth it.

I have the clearbra on my hood , fenders, bumpers, and side mirrors. basically anything with paint on it, which is what i wanted to protect against chips. i didn't feel the need to cover the lights and saved about $100.

The material I used on my lights is relatively thick. It seems it would be much more noticeable on body parts, rather than the lights. Of course, I have never seen it to know (or maybe I did see it, and didn't notice...?).

The material for lights is always thicker than the one that goes on body.

I just did the Celebra today

That stinkin bull bar was in the way so I had them hold back on the lower piece until I decide if it is coming off or not. I like how high up the hood it comes.
