4.6 trans. on 4.4 engine

Is it possible to Mount a 4.6 or a 4.8 transmission on a 4.4 engine?

I think you should check with your local BMW shop
I dont think that this is possible becouse the engine is diferent, 4,8 transs on 4,4 maybe but i dont know
