I got the itch...
Modding itch, that is. This weekend might be the weekend I install my Sirius Satellite System. the articles on X5world will be in hand. :) Before I start though, is there anything little secrets that I should know about that might not be in the articles? :dunno:

If you install the antenna on the roof, install in the middle not the side near the rails. Reception will be better.
You will need to fish the antenna wires thru some small holes in tight spaces. Be patient, take your time, and use some kind of fishing helpers (hangers, fish tape, etc...). Enjoy! It's a great mod! |
Brian,
Where are you getting the Sirius components from? I am debating whether to go Sirius or XM and would like it to run through the factory stereo. I am also hoping to be able to hook up my Ice-Link for the iPod and have been told that i should only install the BMW Sirius module to get the desired results. Have you researched any of this? Tim |
I purchased them from a member; however, prior to that, I contacted Crevier. i do not know much about the Ice-Link or iPod setups. other Members, jump in anytime.

Any idea what Crevier was charging for the Sirius unit? I'm curious what the costs are for Sirius vs. XM. XM was around $230 which included the Blitzsafe adapter which, technically, should allow for the Ice-Link installation.
