I Got a quote to paint and install the 4.8 Kit...
 

Guys,

I'm looking to purchase the 4.8 kit to complement the style 87 rims I just installed last week. I asked for pricing at a friend's bodyshop in Brooklyn and they quoted me $275 to paint and install the kit.

Is that a good price or would I be able to do better?

4.6/4.8 Kit = $575
Painted/installed = $275

Total = $850

that seem right. As a matter of fact, it's a good deal since installation is included. That price without installation is what i get around in my area.

Do you have a P/N for the 4.8is kit? Is that only the front bumper or both the front and rear?

As per Morristown BMW I would need the 4.8 rear and the 4.6 front lower pieces. I hope I'm correct, I really wanted the 4.8 complete front, but I guess I would need to get the whole front bumper.

$275 with install that is very good deal.here at my body shop i paint it for people aruond here $200

the install / paint price is pretty reasonable. my shop would go along that ballpark as well. Just make sure they can color match the paint! You have a white car and the color isnt going to be the same as it was in 2005. I had a white car before and it needs to be tinted for sure!
