N62 versus N62TU engine, any idea?
Does anyone know the difference between these two engines? (like from a BMW tech report or something?)
|
with the N64TU,TU= technology update.
as the same with the TRANNY ZF...PU=part update. |
Do you know what the update was and when it was implemented?
|

TIS Bulletin that lays out the N62TU revisions
This TIS bulletin that lays out the N62TU revisions from the N62:
https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...engine/2KFcof4 |
Great information in that bulletin
|
Seems worse IMO lol... no magnesium diva intake, no dipstick, "intelligent" alternator/battery coding, etc...
|
I juat brought one of this engine home yesterday. To upgrade my X5. But I will be using my engine management and the intake from my X5. I will just have to work with tuning it. Only pros is better internals and the fact thats is a 4.8l. For the SC.
