self-level suspension/rear fully elevated
I've got a 2001 X5 3.0. I've got the Self-Level Suspension Inactive warning and the rear of the X5 is fully elevated.
I've done a search but the symptoms on the site are opposite to mine, i.e. the rear is sitting low. Any tips? TIA, |
do another search:)
I have read somwhere that is some electronic component that gives wrong signal and everything is ok an in order with suspention Dealer should know more |
Thanks for the reply. I've tried resetting the car (uncabled the battery for 2 hours) and nothing. I've tried cleaning the sensors, still nothing. I'll try replacing the Level Sensor. If that doesn't work, I'll probably have to go to the dealer.

It might be as simple as that, or as you say faulty sensor |
Yes, that was the first thing I checked. But both fuses look ok.

perfect timing... this error just appeared on my x5 today. Its going into the dealer the day after next. thankfully i was only a few minutes from the dealer when this came up..

Do all x5's have this Self-Level Suspension? I don't think mine does, or it could just be broken? How do you tell?

if you look under the flor in the back, under the tire you will se a compresor, and cables, runing to and from it

However, even the 4.6i does not have the Self-Level Suspension, the damned car may give Self-level suspansion error messages. |
