In Simple UI mode, yes.

What Generation iPod will you be using?

a 5th generation video, not a classic. And possibly my iPhone also. Does it matter?

Yes, the previous generation DICE will allow Clickwheel operation with text display. The newer iPods lock the Clickwheel.

If you would like to exchange your module for the older version, email me and I'll make the arrangements.

The new SILVERLINE allows more options for browsing since the Clickwheel is automatically locked on the new models. Since you have a previous generation iPod - this would not apply to you.

If oyu would like the 1st generation DICE, the order will need to be placed by phone.

oh okay. Will the old dice work with a classic and a iPhone? I'm thinking of getting a classic because I have 65 gigs of music and my ipod is ful

No, those devices will lock into accessory mode when connected.

The touch, new Classic and 3rd Generation nano lock the iPod's Clickwheel when attached to 3rd party devices, this is an iPod-specific issue - not the DICE.

Earlier iPods do not experience this issue. All DICE-specific features are still available. If Clickwheel operation is desired, you can set the DICE module's DIP switches to Simple iPod mode to gain access of the Clickwheel, but will lose text display on the radio when doing so.
