BMW Indie in NYC - Queens or Nassau Long Island

I'm looking for a referral of a good mechanic in Queens / Long Island. Any NYers out there have a good referral?? My current one is in the Bronx, and I don't want to travel that far to get things done. I have a family member who's a mechanic, but you know how that goes with getting things done.

I am at 109k miles and i'm looking to get a health check basically because I know some things need to be done. I'd like to do the priority things first basically and do the suggested things within a month or 2.

Any suggestions welcome.

What happened to the shop Small Cars?
They used to be an independent bodyshop/repairs located in Flushing Queens.

acitydweller 04-11-2008 06:23 AM

they closed. my friend who owns his shop used to work there. Vito and Denis are around as well.

Here you go:

Cars Unlimited Repair Center
58-16 Laurel Hill Blvd.
Woodside NY 11377

You can ask for a quote, interview the mechanic/body guys or look at the cars they are actively working on.

Good Luck!

Gino and Mike were great. They stayed late friday to help me out, and also because they didnt want to spend their saturday in the shop all day. I couldnt get a rental and it was my mother in law's bday. So you know I couldnt miss that. Got the truck at around 10pm from them. Great guys and good honest work. Thanks for the information again.. And - right around the corner from me!!! Can't beat that. He spotted more work - head gasket :wow: and timer gasket or something like that.. almost 2 days labor when I go to do it.. :wow: - will do it next month.

I have used them for years, they do great work and charge a fair price; glad things worked out.
