newbee phone question

I just bought a 2001 X5 and it is missing the phone from the console - do anyone know if this phone can still be purchased CPT8000 (I think) and if any carrier will activate it

probably ebay? and mine is serviced by verizon.

If it's for Sprint or Verizon (both use CDMA) then you might be able to get it activated. If it's for Cingular or AT&T Wireless then you are out of luck, as the CPT8000 phones for those carriers were TDMA and they are no longer activating new service with phones of that technology - it's got to be GSM.

eBay is probably your best source to find one. Personally, I would opt for the Bluetooth retrofit.
