Sport Steering Wheel trim - WOW!, anyone ever seen this?

Has anyone ever seen this titanium steering wheel trim and know the part number? It's not in the ETK from what I can tell.

Follow-up: Got the answer. It's not an Individual model. It's an X5 4.8is that had all the stock trim that they would come with except for this part. Had it been an Individual edition, typically the shift boot, front armrest, and parking brake boot would be in the leather matching the seats and also the floor mats would have leather trim matching the seat color as well.

It appears to be an individual vehicle, which means it is a special order part. You can retrofit it, your dealer should be able to order it for you. It may takes a couple of months though.

According to ETK, the titan retrofit parts do feature something for the steering wheel, but no part numbers or diagrams show up. ETK mentions see note HG32. No idea of what this means though.

its available on ebay, the seller's name is roveractive and he sells this trim in different colors as well like wood colors.

Yikes... sells for $130 + shipping.

Surely it would be cheaper just to get yours painted to what ever colour you wanted

$130 is the ebay price. dealer is probably much more... + the cost of painting

Wait a sec, roveractive sells a wood one for the X3 which does not fit the X5 even if it looks like the similar steering wheel, it is not. I haven't seen one in titanium finish on his site. Do you have a link?

I was suggesting removing your existing Sport Steering Wheel surround and painting it, not buying a new to paint

With all due respect, that's a dumb idea altogether.

Why would that be a dumb idea if you can't afford the cost of the BM part???

Saving money = not dumb!
