Anyone Looking to Buy 4.8is
 

My father is selling his 2006 4.8is. Loaded, sapphire black, 17,000 miles. The stealer offered 41,000.00 on Monday and called back and offered 43,000.00. I think the price of gas is driving X5 prices down. I think 47,000.00 is fair.

Can you define "loaded" for me?

I was just throwing it out there. I don't have the spec sheet on the X. No load floor and no heated steering wheel. The X has been garage kept and detailed at BMW. He drives it like he is scared of it. He is moving from Williamsburg VA to St Micheals MD in 2 weeks. He said he wants a car that take 20 minute to wash and not an hour and 20 minuts. I will be at his house Saturday and will get some pictures for who ever is interested. My wife want let my even think about buying it.

I the reason I posted this is because I know the history of this X. It would be a great buy in the low 40's. He is come to terms with the low trade offers and will be taking it buy BMW of Annapolis next week to see what they offer him. The stealer will try to resell it for ten thousand more.

thats $5000 more than what i paid for my x5 4.4. not a bad deal if you ask me. im sure he'll have no problems finding a buyer. Only problem on the horizon is the growing gas prices... yikes

does it have the extended maintenance?

I'm interested, please post some pics. Also, it must still be under warranty?

Check the in-service date. It's 4 years/48K miles before factory warranty expires. Since it's a 2006. I'm assuming there is about 2 years remaining on FW.

Dylandog - Do you know if this 4.8is has NAV and Comfort Seats. You did mention that it does NOT have Sliding Load Floor & Heated Steering Wheel.

Good luck with the sale. Hopefully someone from this forum will pickup this 4.8is. It's a good buy.
