FYI: I found the thread in which this happened. I am not bad mouthing anyone. Most of those guys in there are legit and great guys/gals to deal with. When someone says that it's sold, it's sold to that person. The guy actually f&** up and not informing the thread the sale was pending. And inform Rasta that he would be 2nd on the list. When you give your word you give your word. The sale did not say OBO.

But - if I am wrong on my assestment then I am wrong.

First, Major04, thanks for the offer.. I'll pass - he went and took full payment. the argument that he does not know me and could have lost a sale is somewhat valid. Even though these are hard to find and his buyer would not have went anywhere.

Actually i was fully willing to pay the remaining amount tomorrow morning. I've been on this site and have been looking for this wheel for months. It was not hte seller's fault that I didn't have my card on me to add to the paypal account and could only send what was in my paypal balance. So I PM'd the seller and told him the circumstance, and if he agreed then I felt that I had a wheel. I told him i would send him $50 immediately as a "hold" until tomorrow when I could send the rest. he replied agreeing and said the remaining would be $265 because of the $25 shipping. When he confirmed the reply, I sent $65 to cover the shipping (50+15).

In the 15 minutes he sent email agreeing, and i sent the $ - he had received full payment from someone else - which was after he agreed to the deal with me. He immediately refunded me the $65.

Point is, he "shook hands" with me. So I wonder if tonight someone sent him $315 immediately if he would have done the same thing and just refunded my $65. He could have just said "thanks for the offer, but just send me the full amount tomorrow"

That's why I'm pissed.. (was - who cares now.. its just a wheel). It wasn't like it was on ebay - if it was, who cares.. u have the right to sell to highest bidder. but i feel like if i made a deal with someone on this forum, he would have contacted me before taking the other person's $.

And you're right.. he didn't say it was pending to someont else.. or even to me.. My mistake may have been putting in the thread PM'd and that could have alerted the other buyer to move quick. Either way he "committed" to me.. even with the "downpayment" deal. So when he put "SOLD" in that thread.. it actually didnt even mean sold to me.. I looked at the time stamps - realized at 11.29am he sent me an email saying sorry he sold it to someone else. Even tho my PM was sent to him at 10.44am he responded by 11am, and I sent him the paypal by 11.06am. he refunded me by 11.28am right before he sent me the 'sorry' email.

Well - I may have found the wheel.. So far I'm the first post on the SMG wheel for sale.. even though he posted a feeler a long time ago. But right now I'm just waiting for a paypal invoice.. He hasn't responded to my email or PM... so fingers crossed.
