rubbing noise?

Hi All,

I just noticed tonight that I have some sort of rubbing noise coming from my front wheel area when I am driving straight above 20MPH or so. It is only audible when I am going between 20-30MPH otherwise the wind noise is too loud to overpower it.

It seems to fade away when I turn. Any ideas of what this might be/what to check?

Thanks!

Lightly apply the brakes when you hear the noise, if the noise goes away, the brakes are dragging. A cailper may be binding.

thanks, i'll have that checked, would a cailiper binding make the noise only when going straight? i thought it was strange that when i turned side to side it seemed to go away

When you turn the wheel there's enough flex in the bearing and other pieces to move the caliper.
