pics of how to remove a-pillar?
Hi,
Sorry again but would anyone have pics of how ot remove the A-pillar onm the passenger side? It looks really delicte and very tightly placed. Thanks |
As far as I know all you have to do is remove the airbag tag and there should be a screw under it. Remove the screw and then the pull on the trim piece to remove it.
I need to do this myself to take out some wrinkles on both of my A-pillars. |
How do you remove the wrinkles?
|
Haven't figured that one out yet...
There was a previous post about the wrinkles and I think there was a fix in it, but I cannot remember. My plan was to see if I could heat up the fabric to remove it from the A-pillar and then reglue it, but not sure if that will work. |
Pop out the airbag plastic button, you'll find a torx under there. Don't remember the size sorry. But that's the only screw holding it in. Once removed. you pull the top out slightly then carefully pull the cover toward the ceiling of the car until it pops out. Be careful of the airbag underneath.
When putting back on, be especially careful not to pinch the sunroof drain hose with the ribbing on the back of the cover. |
