Tow Hitch install time estimates - Any guess'ers
 

Me and a fellow X5 member plan to tackle installing the hitches on our ride tomorrow ! The articles state 4-6 hrs on the install.

Whaddya guys think. 2 guys per each install . U think we can swing both installs in 6-8 hrs.

Yes, and with a spare hour for some cold ones when you are done. As long as you are prepared with all the parts and the tools... the proper Torx sizes, something to support the mufflers, etc. Other tips are in the trailer hitch article, you should be kicking back well before the 8-hour mark. :thumbup:

I had it done by a local shop. It was about 3/4 hours as I recall. You have
to drop the bumper. I put in a Class III and wired it the old regular way not
recommended by BMW. Seems to work OK with UHaul trailer light systems.
Saves a bunch of $$$ not getting that $200 board.......

4 hrs? thats too long... i say 2.5-3 hrs...
