Gas consumptions

:o This might be a stupid question... anyway....
The A/C uses more gas, but when I use the heater does that waste more gas and if it does, is it the same as running the A/C?

The AC uses more gas because the compressor requires power from the engine. Thereis a belt that drives the compressor pully so when the AC is on...there is drag on the engine. The heater is passive and only relies on heat from the engine. It does not use additional fuel.
