Im actually just trying to remove the airbag to replace the cover on it. But i cant get the airbag clips to come loose, and its wrecking the leather on the steering wheel poking at the holes for so long. :(

I have never done that...be careful, it may blow up on you. I have never heard or seen one done. Those suckers are expensive to replace.

I dont know man but to remove airbag it self you have to poke and when you feel that you have pushed the spring then bend it up and the side wil pop up, do the same thing with other side and you are done.
However i have never heard or seen that the front of the airbag can be replaced !!!

Yes they do exist, just cover with the same leather quality but hollow inside. Check ebay for pics.

do it an angle. The right side do it like 8 o clock position (small clock hand) and the left side at 8 o clock. Once you feel the spring, push it.

When I did my SMG wheel I practiced on the M3 wheel a few times with a screwdriver watching where it needed to go and what the spring felt like before removing the airbag on the X. After a few practices tries it was very simple.

I've had to remove my Wheel again because it wasn't quite straight
1.Remove fuse 44
2.air bag out
3.wheel off
4.wheel back on
5 air bag back in
6.fuse 44 back in

;) 5 minutes - bring on the air bag olympics :wow:
