Alu RB with aero package ?

 Does anybody know if i can get the Alu RB with the aero package? THE STEALER SAYS NO BUT I THINK IT'S VERY WEIRD!

I think that the Al running board will not fit with the wheel flares on the aero package. There's a warning on that in the X5 Assessory Catalog.

I've got the Aerokit and wanted the Al face as well. You will actually get the Al runningboards with the Aerokit. The Al runningboards are used as the structural base for the aero RBs (Aero RBs fit over the Al RBs).

You could get the Al look with significant mods to the Aero RBs. Option 1, basically you could cutaway the portion that covers the Al RBs, fair in the step (significant difference in thickness) and fab additional supports for the Aero RB. Option 2, cutaway the face of the Aero step surface (keep the sructural ribs) and fab a Al plate to replace the removed face. The "rubber bumps" on the stock AL RB pops out of the RB and can be reused by pushing them into holes drilled into your new Al face sheet.

If you really want to do this, I would recommend option 2. I've got a few years of experience in doing unique mods and option 2 is not that bad IMO. Option one is a challenge to do, might not look right visually but structurally strong.

Someone else may have other more appealing options for you. I hope you get what you want. It will look sweet. I'll be watching this thread for ideas too. :D

Sorry, I'm primarily on Maui and Southern California.
