 BEWARE ! fuel system is pressurised so fuel will spray out . remove fuse 47 from glove compartment fuse panel then run engine untill it runs out of fuel to relieve pressure . some fuel will still leak when removing filter .:yikes: WORK IN WELL VENTILATED AREA AND KEEP FIRE EXTINGUISHER NEAR .

You are awesome!

Thanks so much for the pics. That helps alot. I see where I was mistaken.

One question: Do I have to take off the panel to the right of the driveshaft in the 2nd picture? It looks to me that the fuel filter and carbon canister are under the panel to the left of the driveshaft as in the 1st picture.

amacman . .thanks for the pics ... any clue on what to do with rivets???

Wayne's World 03-31-2009 11:48 AM

Looks like the rivets are attached to a support piece. You'll be taking the support piece off entirely. Rivets just stay put. That's what I couldn't figure out. I didn't want to take out that support piece in the event it was for the actual fuel tank but looks like its just for the underbody protection.

Uhh... The fuel filter is metal.

fuel filter below left front seat , BEWARE ! fuel system is pressurise so fuel will spray out . you can remove fuelpump fuse number 47 in glove compartment fuse panel then run engine till it cuts out to relieve pressure but some fuel will still leak . best idea is to buy manual from Bentley Publishers - Automotive Books and Repair Manuals .

Amacman - thanks ALOT for the pics. This helped big time. I will purchase the manual.
