Damn xenon bulbs
 

Hey you guys.. The drivers side xenon bulb went out and now I see a message "check low beam" ... I read the DIY xenon bulb replacement article...Should I disconnect the battery or is there another way to shut the low beams off... ????

its either your ballast or your xenon bulb. try to install each part at a time to the other side that is working. unfortunately, you cannot get rid of the message unless you replace the parts. the way i do it is replace both sides at the same time.

Good advice, try swapping the xenon bulb from one side to the other and see if the problem switches sides. You do not need to disconnect the battery to replace the bulb.

If you do end up needing a replacement, I recommend replacing both bulbs so they match when you install the new one. Chances are, the other side is on its way out as well. We do offer D2S Replacement bulbs for your car in case you need a pair, they also come with a 1 year warranty :)
