Staggered Wheels - Necessary on the X5?
I am thinking of selling my 19" Style 132's and moving on to some 20's.
Do I need a staggered set-up? I doubt I need a staggered set-up for handing as I don't drive over 80 mph. The staggered look is awesome, but can I get the same look with using spacers? So the 132's dimensions of the front wheels are 9" x 19" and 10" x 19" for the rear wheels. The 20's would be : 10 x 20 275/40 R 20. If I would staggered the 20's; the rears would be: 11 x 20 315/35 R 20 Sure could use all of your advise as I don't want to make a bad decision. |
go with Staggered set up.
and the 19''x10 with spacer still look skinny to me compare to 10.5 with 315 rear. |
Agree with above...do it!

Hmm, I have 132's that are staggered - BUT !
I guess my writing isn't that great.
My current set-up is 19" 132's that are staggered. 19 x 9 and 19 x 10. The 20's I want to purchase are 20 x 10 and 20 x 11. So I do understand the what you all are saying about the looks. Staggered looks awesome. Is that all the benefits for keeping staggered in my situation? I don't need the handling, so other than the looks I am guessing it isn't necessary? If I don't run staggered on the 20's, then my set-up would be 20 x 10's all around. I do need some help. Thanks! |
