Keep these good stories coming, sometimes reading the forums which outline nothing but problems with X5's can be so depressing....
|
Well, when the X5 was new, there were a few recall stuff (BMW took care of it but not inspiring for a new X5 owner, though been a loyal BMW fan for many years before the X5), major issues: new automatic transmission and new catalytic converter, though my M54 3.0i inline-6 engine has been a jewel. Made some nice mods on the X5, replaced fuel filters 2 times, belts, thermostat & water pump as preventative maintainance, windows regulators x5 times, final stage resister for climate control fan, etc.

Hey Chairman...
Didn't you turn 100K at westfest? You did 70K miles in a little over a year. DAMN! |
Actually, the last WestFest was October 2006 and our X5 just turned 142K miles.

Good to hear, my new Michey Latitude are being installed tomorrow on the X5 (I got the 19" wheels, 255/50/19 fronts, 285/45/19 rears). Agree with the PS2, got them on our E46 M3 on 19" wheels as well!

Yup, got the rebate form from Tire Rack...going to fill out for my $500 travel rebate. The new Michey Latitudes are definitely better riding because (1) they are new (2) appear to be cushier...waiting to break them in before pushing it.
