Anyone own the BMW Tailgate Bike Rack?

I have no idea how to attach the part of the rack on the roof of the X5. The rack rests on the tailgate and attaches to the top. The bikes are transported on the tailgate/bumper area. Please help with any diagrams or explanations.

i looks like there is an attachment to atach it to the side rails on the roof.:dunno:
