2004 - 4.8 options, service, recall info

Newbie here contemplating a Imola Red 2004 4.8 with only 34,000 miles. 35k asking price

Can someone please point me to a link on how to determine the options on a 4.8. I seem to find conflicting info. and would like to know before negotiating the purchase. For example, does a heated steering wheel come on an options package?

Also, I was curious about the BMW servicing and if I should get an extended warranty. Need advice on potential service costs.

I founds on Cars.com 4 recalls on this model. Is that accurate.

Thanks so much in advance for any advice. I

Needs to be CPO and pay not more than 29.5K

Thanks. It's not at a BMW dealer, so can I get it CPO? I did not think so.
29.5k seems very cheap for a 4.8, even a 2004. I have not come across any that are anywhere near that low after month of searching. Most trade-in values I've looked up are more than that. I like it though if I can get that deal.

i agree. 29.5K is kinda low. Never seen that especially if you are looking for a CPO one and it's 4.8. Please point us to the right direction amcink.

We recently had a member buying one from San Ramon and shipping it across the US to New Jersey
BTW per edmunds a certify vehicle is at 39K and trade in at 31k Then 29.9k might be some kind of low but you could try

Absolutely, you will be very glad you did, trust me. There are a few issues such as trannies that will cost you more to fix than the warranty itself. That is just one issue, I would not buy that vehicle w/o a warranty or extended warranty.

I see your alter ego is answering thread after thread.......
