To MrBMWX5, are those rear shocks for rear air suspension? If they are, would you mind share the part number? Any picture DIY to help on this job? TIA

I don't have Air suspention ,but the replacement job is the same.

Excellent! The car has 80K, but some age. If the cost is not too high such as DIY, I like to do it. Thanks again.

You're doing it right with 1st class parts - 84k on my '01 X5 and so far I can't seem to wear anything out - even the Diamaris still have too much tread to replace just yet(new at 36k) - front brakes were done at 28k by original lease/owner, but still are good today - my X5 gets a thorough checkup 2x a year just before I do my cross country travel from SC to ID(May) & back(Sept) - I have some electronic upgrade issues, but I just plain love this car - I wish you the best with yours
