I don't think that would work on a 2004+. I know if I disconnect the wire, I get a "check side light" message. I though about doing this.

The best solution seems to get NCS Expert, and code the car to have the side lights off in parking light mode.

I'll have to see how I have mine currently connected. I re-did it several times and I can't remember what I finally ended up with but it was fairly simple.

However, I'm not 100% convinced that LED "upgrade" for AEs is safe - even though I have Angelibrights still on. LOL. Let me find the thread I'm thinking of.

Here is a heads-up about possible problems when using LED AE bulbs.

Not a very long read (only 2 pages)and you can skip most of the early posts and go straight to page 2.

I just purchased the VXX kit from Umnitza, and their description shows that they fixed that flickering issue, and all other errors. I am going to give it a try, especially since one of my AEs decided to die all of a sudden. Excellent timing I think.

Flickering is not the issue to worry about. Its the other possible detrimental effects of installing LED AE bulbs. Like getting that "SLS" message.

How you like the Umnitza VXX? They look about the same as the ibrights but they are supposedly (2) 5w vs only 3w for the ibrights. At least the VXX is less than 1/2 cost of the ibrights.

Yea, USPS is still delivering them. So I can't comment on looks yet.
