DS, side mirror gets stuck/sticks when use key remote (open all windows, sunroof)
 

Hello,

My wife noticed a couple of weeks ago when she uses her remote to open all windows and sunroof that the drivers side, side mirror gets stuck/sticks in the lower right corner.

The PO added the option to have the key remember the seat settings. It now is starting to get stuck everytime we both use are key fobs (we stopped using the remote in tell i fix it). The mirror will move once we get into the X (Dodi) and press one of the set memory buttons. When we just un-lock the doors the seats will move to are settings w/o the mirrors moving. Funny part, we both have the side mirrors in the same please but when you use the remote to open all windows the mirrors will move anyways (must be a program route).

I want to fix this before the side window motor burns out and all i think it need is a good spray of lub. It wants to move but when it gets to the lowest movement in the left corner it sticks. I even moved the mirror manually to the lowest corner and it still did that.

Any tips on how to fix it would be great. In the winter we do not need to open the windows but it's really nice option when it hits up in the 90's w/ the dew point above 60.

Ok,

got off work early and i just noticed when i just unlock the door(s) (press fob once) that the Passenger side, side mirror will move and gets stuck in the lower left corner. The DS does not move like i wrote in the start of this thread. What is up w/ this. So if i put the X in R after the mirror gets stuck it will not move to the R spot (tries to move) or if i put it right in D it will not move back only when i press the seat memory:dunno:

My wife said yesterday her DS side mirror got stuck in the lower right corner but when i did it today the DS side mirror did not move when i pressed the button (fob)...

No one must have this issue?

Funny, a couple hrs later after i posted this i went outside to check my DSP system so i could order the right DICE system and nothing happened with the mirrors (did not move):dunno: :dunno: I played with remote 4 or 5 times throught out the rest of the day....nothing...LOL

I was wondering if some Lucas germlins got into the BMW factory (when BMW owned Land Rover) and made their way to SC X5 factory....LOL
