Good price for OEM RB installation

I'm trying to get some prices on RB installs. My body shop hasn't given me a quote yet and neither has my mechanic. Mechanic said maybe 2 hrs, but was acting like it was going to be a HUGE job..

any comparisons would help.

Stealer told me $445 or more.. I just called them to get a price point (meaning that indies had to be cheaper).

LOL very true. but i had a goal to get it done for myself too lol... i'm comin for the drinks mostly!!!

DIY - thought about it but dont know if i want to take all that time. is it really that easy? will i need to get under the car? meaning lift it? don't really have a jack for those kinds of mods.. maybe I can buy the drive up things. if that makes sense. i can build a computer from scratch, not an X5. :-D

if i get a quote for $150, i'm letting someone else do it LOL.

AFAIK, you dont need to lift the truck at all.

That is an excellent link to go with the .pdf here:

Looks like all you need is a couple tools. Good luck!

Rasta! First of all - I am gonna miss meeting you in person and seeing the rest of the gang!! We'll catch up! Have a great time! and do some shots for me!! :)

OK! DIY on running boards. It took me and my buddy (my friend that helps me do 60% of my mods as he has an actual shop)...took us 2.5 hours all said and done. As long as you take your time and have that "plastic" rivet gun. Tearing off all the old plastic trim took 15 minutes a side..be gentle but tear that old shit off. LOL! Then applying the new moldings/trim/rb's/rivets- 30 minutes tops each side!

you can do it, its very easy as long as you have that rivet gun... a friend helped me and we did it less than 2 hours, without the rivet gun, just using 2 pliers... the rivet gun i had was the wrong size...
