X5 wrecker / dismantler

Hi, does anyone know a BMW wrecker or dismantler that would have a 2002 x5. I need a part that I'm having difficulty finding, but no one seems to have these, and I've been all over the net... UK, US, Australia & NZ.....:dunno:

ca911 08-19-2008 09:56 PM

what's the part?

jmweb 08-19-2008 09:57 PM

I’m looking for a replacement part for the FM radio unit of my 2002 BMW x5 4.4i
The unit is located in the boot, under the spare tyre. I understand any of the following part numbers would replace my current part?

I have a photo of the part if required?

Have you tried calling/emailing Morristown or Crevier BMW in the US? I couldn't imagine they wouldn't have a part that will work available.

FSETH 08-19-2008 10:27 PM

You could try these guys. I have ordered parts from them in the past and have been pretty happy.

Yep...

bmwx5nz 08-19-2008 11:42 PM

I would prefer to get one from a dismantler and not pay the earth for it.... from a BMW dealer...

bmwx5nz 08-20-2008 05:15 PM

Tried both, but either not stocked or don't ship to NZ...
Any other suggestions would be apprecaited.
Thanks

Why do you need to replace it, has it stopped working? And are our radio stations here in NZ really worth listening to :-)

FSETH 08-21-2008 08:53 AM

Get Sirius. You will never want to listen to FM radio again. I have had Sirius for about 3 years and love it. I actually forget FM radio is even an option.

Need to replace it, as it got water damaged, and now is distorted...
I spend more time listening to the ipod now, but would like the radio back...

I've now sent out over 30 emails to various wreckers and car parts, and to no avail, so still looking for a replacement FM radio module, if anyone can help, it would be greatly apprecaited. part no's noted above....

It is satellite radio, but I forgot where you are located. Pretty sure it is not available to you yet. Sorry.
