My X & in neeed of some opinions!!!

OK...parts are here...so today I will get started on replacing the front diferential, by tomorow I should have it up and running :)

It has been sitting here since last week when they tow truck brought it home...

nothing wrong with the suspension just bad spot in the lawn...

First of all thanks to weasel56 for the info he has provided about his smoked tail lights...I want to get something similar to match the fronts :)

My next mod would be 20's and that is where I need some help and opinions. Any recomandations would be nice...I was thinking about powder coating my wheels...but I figured to keep them as a winter setup...and just go with something nicer...something that would not affect performance and consumption too much...Any help greatly appreciated :)

I'd blur out your license plate on the pic....

Dannyell 08-29-2008 05:00 PM

the reason i did not do the tails is because i cannot find tint to match the lights...on the fronts i have tint...not spray....

i was looking at the altezza smoked LEDs...some members have problems, some dont...

EDIT: just saw that u edited LOL...the reasson i dont blur it is because i really don't have to...or dont see a reason (i just might jinx myself LOL)

i don't think im that important for others to come after me LOL...if anyone from this forum does i'm buying the beers ;)

I need wheel advice LOL

:iagree: .....but use factory sizes and products or replicas because it's hard to find other brands to mach the factory's off set ,very important.I have 4.6is and I'm looking for an upgrade from 20' w/315 to 21' w/325 but hard to find the rim that I like w/ the right off set .....no rush I like the way it looks anyway.Dont forget to get those angel eyes set ...that's a "must have" thing for any BMW.Bafta!

I am a little afraid to open up my lights...I just don't want to take the risk of messing up...this just tinting the headlights....but I could put AE...stick them to the waffles and still keep the tint....I would not clear the yellow..because its a white car...would not look as good ... will see what I can do :)

Sweetbimmer 08-30-2008 09:11 PM

need wheels. not a fan of the headligh covers....enjoy

rares 07-19-2010 11:53 PM

front diferential

why did u have to replace the front diferential....I'm asking cause I hear some klunking under my car every time I on/off the gas pedal at any speed and the tranfer case also the front drive shaft are new ...so what's left is thr front diferential. What were the troubleshoutings?

sethro 07-20-2010 02:25 AM

Is it just me or do the front grills look slanted? Could just be the angle of the picture. I also don't see the point of blurring your licence plate, when your on the street everyone can see it.

Only reason to blur out your plates would be if you going to do something illegal. BTW white looks really good on E53.
