Bye Bye Chrome 22's!! Style 215 20 " Updated!! Pulled the Trigger on Vredesteins!!

:D Ok, so there have been a few posts over the past few weeks about Eurotech and their blow out deal of a lifetime on these BMW rep Wheels...

Pics have already been posted in the previous threads......The next pics will be when they are on the X.

So..mine arrived today and I immediately opened up all the boxes to check them out....They were very well packed and secure.....no damage or scuffs etc etc.....but just as mentioned in some previous threads each of the four wheels has paint defect.....small little micro micro micro bubbles.....the type of thing that only I/we would notice.....but the paint job over all looks great. Man they shine with a little more silver touch than previous oem BMW wheels.. (prob cause they are brand new)...

Bottom line......for 495......they are more than damn good!! I highly
recommend Eurotech and their wheels! Now to find some rubber for these bad boys!

Not much Hanna prep to do. Gonna move my deck furniture, plants, and hanging baskets to the basement. The X will be in the garage.

Looking really nice!! To the other folks wondering about packaging quality, there is a plastic lip guard on the face of the wheel. There is also an elastic fabric bag (looks like a cafeteria server's hairnet) over the wheel face. Finally, there is a plastic bag over the whole thing, and a specially cut piece of cardboard that's designed to further protect the lip from foreign objects bumping into the box. Having said that, the shipper could still manage to damage the wheel by accidentally dropping the box, as it is lacking any kind of thick foam padding to protect it from drops. If you choose to have it shipped, inspect the box for external damage and if the box is torn or dented, take pics BEFORE you open it. If possible, have the delivery driver verify what you are seeing. Your wheels will probably arrive without a problem. But you can't control how well the shipper handles your wheels so take precautions in case you need to file a claim.

Update..

 Ok after a week or two of advice, opinions, and shopping around:confused: .....and comparing to what I have been riding on for two years now.....I have decided to go with the TOYO Proxes ST....275-40-20 315-35-20

I was ready to rock and roll with the Mich Diamaris, then I looked at Vredestein's, and then that opened up Pandoras Box and I really started to do research......The Toyo's are actually discontinued, but there is plenty of stock out there should I need a new tire......worst case scenario I go to the Proxes ST II's down the road......I have found that choosing tires was not as easy as I thought and for ..bang for the buck....I like the deal that I got balanced and installed.... who knows..maybe I am completely out of my tree :banghead: and I will go to the Michelins in a year or another brand for that matter...but for now....for my 215 reps......this is the path I will travel...

Thanks to everyone for their input...ya'll know who you are.....

My experience has been the exact opposite. I bought a set of Toyo's for my 4.4 and on the way home from the tire shop, they were so quiet compared to the OEM Michelin Diamaris, I thought they were underinflated. So I went home and checked the pressure and they were fine. And since I went from the 19" Diamaris to 20" Toyo's, the sidewalls were even thinner than the Michelins so you figure there should be more road noise. Not the case. I have no emotional attachment to either brand but my wallet and ears like the Toyo's better, as they were $806 shipped. It's your money so buy what floats your boat.
