Wipers quit working while driving
 

Front wipers quit working in the middle of a rainstorm.....go figure. Anyway, I called BMW, told me it is probably the relay or could be the wiper motor. Can anyone give me some DIY advice for replacing one or both? haven't been able to look at either yet.

search dead wiper fix or something, I had this happen on my old x5 and the bolts that mount the arm came loose and prevented the motor from moving the the blades...

I manually moved the arms today. Started it up, turned on the wipers and Iknow have wipers working. BEfore I could not get any washer fluid to pump or blades to move. Its a MIRACLE. It seemed as if the motor had hung up at specific point.

Found the Problem
 

After reading your reply, I went back outside , removed the cover and noticed one of the bolts was loose. That is why the arm could not move. BRILLIANT! Thanks!
