Button to activate heated steering wheel?
Hey guys,
Newbie here, It's been about 5 years since I've had a BMW. It was a 2001 330ci and I loved everything about it. I am now in the process of buying a 2006 3.0 and already have several questions for the X5world. First off, it is a non-sport package. If the steering wheel has the button with the heated wheel icon does that guarantee that it has the heated wheel option or could the button simply be non-functional? |
If the button is there then it has the heated steering wheel, otherwise no button. BMW does not put non-functional buttons.

Ok, I've noticed that steering wheels without the heated option have a button in the same location, but, it appears to have a different icon/symbol. It appears to have three circular arrows. What does this type of button control?

Actually LeMans, I have experienced once case of BMW putting on a non-functional button. Our 118i rental had the sport steering wheel, Business sat nav, and no voice commands. Pushing the Voice Command button on the steering wheel did..........nothing. Pity; I wanted try some commands in German. |
[quote=AzNMpower32]If the vehicle doesnt have heated stering wheel, that button switches the air recirc for the climate automatic, between fresh and recirculated air.
So, if a vehicle has a heated steering wheel where would the recirc button be located? |

If the steering wheel is equipped with the circulate button does that mean the circulate button has been deleted from the climate control panel or does the vehicle have two seperate circulate buttons?
|
There will be 2 separate recirculate buttons if the car isn't equipped with the heated steering wheel button.
