Do Not put DVD in NAV!

"Warning DO NOT PUT DVD IN NAV! "

This is what i was told by my stealer.. nice man he was, untill he took all my money! ha. He said "if you put a regular dvd into the NAV system because it has DVD written on it. It wont work.. and it will cause damage to the NAV drive. Will cost £2000 to fix! "

dont tend to belive what salesman say.. anyone tried it??
If he didnt mention it.. am sure i would have given it a go! :)

But i aint risking it.. anyone want to give it a go... "at your own risk?"

whats your views on what the salesman said!

It definitely will not play Dvd!I also tried to insert a dvd "copy" of the latest Nav software and it got stuck inside and I had to dismantle the unit to manually disconnect the internal eject motors to remove the dvd!!!!I was lucky!Never again!

I use a dvd copy in mine, simply so that I have the original here in case somebody decided to borrow my disk (steal it then). No probs.

Wont play a movie it's a DVD-ROM so it only stores memory and will not read and play a DVD movie
