Do Not put DVD in NAV!
"Warning DO NOT PUT DVD IN NAV! "
This is what i was told by my stealer.. nice man he was, untill he took all my money! ha. He said "if you put a regular dvd into the NAV system because it has DVD written on it. It wont work.. and it will cause damage to the NAV drive. Will cost £2000 to fix! " dont tend to belive what salesman say.. anyone tried it?? If he didnt mention it.. am sure i would have given it a go! :) But i aint risking it.. anyone want to give it a go... "at your own risk?" whats your views on what the salesman said! |

You know what... thats what i thought.. would just be read error thats all!
He said dont try and play a normal film in it... it will damage the unit! Didnt want to say .. what you on about chap.. stick to sellin cars! but thats what i was thinking.. still i dont reccomend trying to play a normal dvd in there.. and not about to try and watch the "matrix" in my nav unit! ha.. be well cool if i could! |
It shouldn't damage the unit - but it definately won't play a DVD movie :tsk:

It definitely will not play Dvd!I also tried to insert a dvd "copy" of the latest Nav software and it got stuck inside and I had to dismantle the unit to manually disconnect the internal eject motors to remove the dvd!!!!I was lucky!Never again!

I use a dvd copy in mine, simply so that I have the original here in case somebody decided to borrow my disk (steal it then). No probs.

Wont play a movie it's a DVD-ROM so it only stores memory and will not read and play a DVD movie
