PDC Problem...HELP
Hey everyone....
I have a little situation going on here and I need some advice on where to go next with this. One of my PDC sensors in the rear was not working therefor disabling my PDC option. I took it apart and found that one of the three wires was ripped out of the connect which plugs into the back of the sensor. I purchased a new connector and wires and wired it up and still no change. I moved the sensor over to another connection and proved that the sensor works (put the vehicle in reverse and heard the sensor working). I did also verify the wiring is going into the correct connections as well tested with a volt meter that I have juice comming out of the wires. In addition I compared the voltage readings I got with a working one and they were bang on. The only other thing I can think of is the wires may not have a good connection to the sensor when pluged in, but not sure if thats the case because I tested for power through the connector. Any ideas guys?????????:dunno::dunno::dunno::dunno::dunno::d unno: |
Still lookin for ideas???

Well, one option... whether an expensive one or not... is the dealer. Simply for the fact that the diagnostic equiptment will tell you what faults are in the system and give you diagnostic requests and component activation also.
Other than that, since you seem to be handy with a meter, use the WDS link to look up the wiring pin-out of the PDC module. Then check the resistance across the wires to the sensor (plug removed at module) from known good to previously damaged one. Just some simple comparisons should help shed light if it is a connection problem. Getting the full system wiring schematic should help you move forward with your diagnosis as you can also look up operation info and component location. |
