Does anyone have any contacts at BMW parts?

It seems that the tow package for my 2006 4.8is is on backorder. Maybe someone knows someone who can find one for me?

My boat is sitting in the water and I can't get it out without the hitch!

My understanding is that they are all on back order. Something to do with the manufacturer. You may want to do a search of other posts about it. Glad I got mine a year ago.

Ya, I know. Real discouraging. Hoping someone had a work around or an idea.

Anyone try a junk yard? I bet there are MANY sitting rusting. If I was looking for one....that would be the 1st place I would look into.

Since they are not making anymore for some time.....Hit up the local yard and or get on the nationwide locater. they are out there!!!

I am starting to go down that road.

The wiring harness seems to be a pain to get also.

Checked the database, and it shows about 400 units on back-order. Which, in layman's terms, means we'll never see them. :(

There's also a P/N for the Pin, but I'm a bit swamped at the moment...

Do you have the part number for the wiring harness?

Is that on backorder?

What about the removable ball?

What is this part number 71.60.0.392.244 ?
